Sonia Sabnis received her B.A. from Columbia University and her M.A. from the University of California, Berkeley, where she is currently a Ph.D. candidate.

Sonia Sabnis is writing her dissertation on Apuleius’ Metamorphoses and Roman slavery. Her interests include the ancient novel (Greek and Latin), Indo-European linguistics, and Latin palaeography. She recently returned from studying applied palaeography at the American Academy in Rome, where her research involved a 14th c. manuscript of Apuleius in the Vatican Library.
